ARMA ANGELUS – Where Sleeplessness Is Rest From Nightmares

Where Sleeplessness Is Rest From NightmaresOriginally published in Verbicide issue #6

First off, of all the Alveran CDs that I received to review this issue, this is by far the best. Secondly, Jay Jancetic is playing drums for them?! Buffalo pride, man. What a powerhouse of “ex-members of,” though: Halfmast, Racetraitor, Extinction and more.  Sludgy, Midwest hardcore with a deep bite into political idealism and scene bullshit.  This CD is incredibly tight. Arma Angelus is one of the handful of metal-influenced hardcore bands that actually know what they’re doing, and how to pull it off. I wish the same could be said for others in this genre.
