Instrumentation, instrumentation! You astound me with your noise. The Death of the Sun in the Silver Sea is hard rock for the troubled mind and its soul for the young masses.
As I was touching upon before, I am completely taken aback by the strength of this album. Its not your run-of-the-mill rock these days. You know the type: powered solely by drums and some screamer out front (the likes of which you’re lucky just to get a decent bass line out of, anymore. Sheesh…). Well, Minor Stars, you’ve renewed my faith in the rocker. I’ll admit, it did take me a couple tracks to warm up to The Death of the Sun in the Silver Sea, but by “Numbers Don’t Lie,” I was sold on the album as a whole.

In the end, what you are left with is a well put together and thoughtful album that echoes something long forgotten from the ‘70s but jacked to hell on freshness.
