Rage Against The Machine to Release 20th Anniversary Box Set: “XX”
Rage Against The Machine will celebrate the 20th anniversary of their self-titled debut with a box set reissue, Rage Against the Machine – XX, due out November 27, 2012.
The reissue will be available as a single CD with three bonus tracks, a double CD with a bonus DVD, or a box set containing the double CD, two DVDs, a vinyl LP, a two-sided poster, and a 40-page booklet. Two different vinyl editions, one a picture disc, will also be released, with no bonus tracks. Chuck D (of Public Enemy) contributes brand new liner notes.
The first disc contains the original album, remastered, plus three B-sides, while the second disc the band’s first demo, recorded in 1991. The first DVD contains the entirety of the band’s free concert in Finsbury Park in London in June 2010 and also features music videos and live video from a 1997 VHS compilation. The second DVD features live performances from 1991 through 1994, including Rage Against the Machine’s first live show, at Cal State North Ridge in October 1991. (via P4k)
