SPIN reports that a Black Keys documentary is in the works. Director Noah Abrams has called it “a buddy comedy with perhaps the greatest soundtrack of all time.” Abrams has followed the band on tour since January and will collect footage until August; the film should be released in 2013.

“I’m fortunate enough to know both these guys pretty well,” Abrams said, “and their relationship is pretty incredible and very funny.”

The band is currently on a lengthy tour through the end of 2012 that will take them across the globe.
