The Killers’ Tommy Marth Dead at 33 of Self-Inflicted Gunshot Wound
Saxophonist Tommy Marth, who recorded and toured with The Killers, was found dead earlier this week in the backyard of his Las Vegas home from an apparent suicide. The Clark County coroner’s office confirmed the 33-year-old Marth was pronounced dead of a gunshot wound to the head on Monday, April 23, 2012.
A tweet from the band’s official Twitter account announced Marth’s passing. Band spokeswoman Jen Appel says Marth was not a full member of the Las Vegas-based rock band, though his saxophone playing does appear on their 2006 album Sam’s Town and their 2008 album Day & Age. He was also a touring member of the band. (via HuffPo)
