In honor of its upcoming 20th anniversary, “Yo! MTV Raps” will return to television on Sunday, December 4th on MTV2. The retrospective will air after the first annual Sucker Free Awards, which will begin at 11 p.m. (EST).

“Yo! MTV Raps ‘Classic Cuts’” will feature old classics like A Tribe Called Quest‘s “Scenario,” Geto Boys’ “My Mind’s Playing Tricks on Me,” and Ice Cube’s “It Was a Good Day.”

The special intends to take viewers back to a “seminal time in hip-hop which many have called the ‘Golden Era,’”  says Fab 5 Freddy, the original host of the show. It will also feature current hip hop artists, includingWiz Khalifa and Common, and DJ Premier has remixed the theme song. Wheeeeee! -Christina Drill
