According to Ain’t It Cool News, a movie based on the popular 1980s arcade game Rampage has been given the green light.

Rampage was a three-player game (two-player on home video game consoles, like the NES) where a giant Godzilla-like creature (Lizzie), a giant King Kong-like creature (George), and a giant werewolf (Ralph) knocked over buildings, crushed military tanks and aircraft, and ate people. It pretty much went on endlessly, until you either ran out of quarters or, if you were at home, got bored.

The film will be released by New Line Cinema with John Rickard set to direct. It will probably star Nicolas Cage. This is pure speculation on my part.
