Vultures NICOLE ATKINS VulturesThere’s something filthy sexy in a James Bond meets a stripping spy to “Vultures” from Nicole Atkins. The song evolves with her mesmerizing vocals and the enchanting violin. Yes, enchanting is the proper word for something that sounds like this. It’s an interesting song to be placed with Atkins’ cover of Can’s “Vitamin C.” Nicole claims it’s her favorite song, but honestly, she must have meant her version, because it trumps the original by far. This is Bjork if she wasn’t trying so hard to be wacky. This is some good stuff. The soundtrack to something completely out of control happening in your life; we all need that soundtrack at some point or other.
