K’naan – Wavin’ Flag (Celebration Remix)

2009 brought the release of the highly acclaimed sophomore album from Somali-born K’naan, entitled Troubadour. From that album, which The Source called “an album that displays raw emotion coupled with genre-bending song composition” and “a breath of fresh air” comes the song “Wavin’ Flag.” The track has been selected as a theme song of the 2010 FIFA World Cup in South Africa. The incredibly uplifting and empowering track has been remixed and dubbed “The Celebration Mix” in honor of the event.

Commenting on the experience, K’naan said, “It’s so exciting to be part of this epic journey and see Africa’s excitement for the FIFA World Cup firsthand.”
